Head to one of these Austin hot spots to sip on a drink for a good cause

Bars and restaurants across the world are participating in Negroni Week, an effort to raise money for a number of charities while celebrating the famous cocktail. Presented by Imbibe Magazine and Campari, the initiative has raised nearly $1.5 million for charity since its launch in 2013. You can enjoy Negroni Week here in Austin by visiting one of the local bars and restaurants listed below from June 4 to June 10. A portion of proceeds from the special Negronis will go towards the venue’s selected charity!

The Aristocrat Lounge

6507 Burnet Rd.

The Allandale bar will be pouring out a Negroni on Tap this week! A portion of sales will benefit the Little Free Library, a nonprofit that fosters book exchanges around the world to increase access to books for all readers.

Backbeat

1300 S. Lamar Blvd.

Head to Backbeat for two unique twists on the Negroni – the Brazilian Negroni with Leblon Cachaça, a premium spirit from Brazil, and the Black and Blue Negroni with Bluecoat gin. Proceeds from these drinks will benefit No Kid Hungry.

Houndstooth Coffee – East Austin

2823 E. MLK Jr. Blvd. Ste. 105

Houndstooth has kegged Negroni and their Southern Negroni ready to enjoy this week, with a portion of sales going to No Kid Hungry.

The Bonneville

202 W. Cesar Chavez St.

Calling all animal-lovers! Come out to The Bonneville and enjoy one of their three Negroni concoctions to support PAWS, a non-profit animal rescue organization.

Firehouse Lounge

605 Brazos St.

Firehouse is serving three Negronis to celebrate this special week, including the Negroni Smash which features lemon and mint and is served on crushed ice. Purchasing one of these cocktails will benefit Lamba Legal, an organization that fights for civil rights for the LGBTQ+ community.

Half Step

75 ½ Rainey St.

Enjoy one of two Negronis available at this Rainey Street favorite while giving back to SHARE, an organization that provides resources to those affected by ovarian and breast cancers. The Enzoni Negroni includes the classic combination of gin and campari with the addition of lemon and green grapes.

Juniper

2400 E. Cesar Chavez St.

Juniper is offering three variations on the Negroni, all benefiting No Kid Hungry and their mission to end childhood hunger in America. The Sbagliato features Campari, sweet vermouth, and prosecco for a spin on the classic cocktail.

Haymaker

2310 Manor Rd.

Indulge in Haymaker’s featured Negroni and give back to their chosen charity, the James Beard Foundation. The foundation works to nurture up-and-coming chefs and make food in America more sustainable and available.

King Bee Lounge

1906 E. 12th St.

King Bee is serving up crowd-pleasers this week with both a classic Negroni and a frozen version of the drink. The bar has chosen to support Autism Speaks with their Negroni week campaign.

Le Politique

110 San Antonio St.

The French restaurant is serving up a Left Bank Negroni, with gin and campari, plus French wine Lillet Rouge and Suze liqueur. Their selected charity is Slow Food International, which aims to preserve local food cultures and traditions in today’s fast-moving society.

Native Hostel

807 E. 4th St.

The Grapefruit Negroni with Revolution Gin is available at Native Hostel this week. Enjoy the refreshing citrus cocktail as you give back to CORE, an organization that supports the families of restaurant employees in times of extreme difficulty.

Nickel City

As a new addition to the Austin bar scene, Nickel City is participating in Negroni Week for the first time. The East Austin bar will have four Negroni week specials available, all benefitting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Olamaie

1610 San Antonio St.

One dollar from every Negroni sale at Olamaie this week will be donated to SHARE. Olamaie is serving rotating variations of the drink in their Daily Punch Cup, as well as their own spin on the classic Negroni featuring Cocchi di Torino vermouth.

Whisler’s

1816 E. 6th St.

Whisler’s has created a special Negroni menu for the week that includes three different takes on the cocktail. The Another Day in Paradise features strawberry syrup and cardamom bitters for a sweeter version of the typical Negroni.

The Roosevelt Room

One of Austin’s best-known bars is pulling out all the stops for Negroni week. The bartenders at the Roosevelt Room will be creating 2 versions of the classic Negroni, as well as 4 season-themed Negronis. Kick off summer with the Summer Negroni, featuring Topo Chico and watermelon juice.
