20th Annual Red Poppy Festival

Red poppies have been a part of Georgetown’s landscape for over seventy years, being one of the few locations in the United States where red poppies reseed themselves annually. Each April as the poppies bloom, Georgetown celebrates with the annual Red Poppy Festival. A city-wide celebration, festival-goers can partake in a parade, car show, kids fun zone, poster signing, 5k and bike ride, special food vendors and live music, with Pat Green stopping by as this year’s headliner.
