AIA Austin Design Talks: Eve Edelstein

Design Talks, presented by AIA Austin, returns with a luncheon that features Dr. Eve Edelstein, presenting “How Brains and Buildings Interact: Our Conscious and Unconscious Response to Design.” The upcoming event takes place at Austin Central Library and will explore how design can modify the brain and body to respond toward built environments.

Dr. Edelstein’s expertise draws on her background as a clinician, researcher, educator, and designer. Eve directs the Perkins+Will Research HxLab, which enhances the human experience of design through places that serve wellbeing, engagement, performance, cognition, emotion, and health. The featured talk highlights Eve’s findings which directly translate into principles that inform the design of places where people interact in the age of technology.
