Austin Shakespeare presents The Glass Menagerie

Austin Shakespeare is presenting Tennessee Williams’ iconic play The Glass Menagerie this February. Showing at the Rollins Theater at The Long Center for the Performing Arts, audiences will journey with Williams, the young poet, who tangles with his lively Southern mother, played by the acclaimed Franchelle S. Dorn, and his sensitive, beloved sister Laura, played by the versatile, Khali Sykes. Now portrayed as an African-American family, the cast also features Marc Pouhé as Tom, the Narrator, and Kenah Benefield as the Gentleman Caller. This play highlights some of the American playwright’s most imagistic and rhythmic language will feature live violin accompaniment by Bennie Braswell.
