Joe Lewis first picked up a guitar while working at a pawn shop in Austin. After forming a band, they gained critical national acclaim, touring with Spoon and Okkervil River in 2007. Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears will be stopping by the Mohawk on July 13 for a soulful set, joined by Emily Wolfe and Nolan Potter’s Nightmare Band.
