Gabriel García Márquez: The Making of a Global Writer

In 1965, Gabriel García Márquez was an unknown Colombian writer living in Mexico City. In 1967, the publication of One Hundred Years of Solitude transformed its author into an international success and of the most celebrated writers of the 20th century. García Márquez’s Collection at the Ransom Center is comprised of approximately 300 items and will explain how García Márquez became a literary star and a classic writer.
