GD Wright: Impossible Until It’s Done Opening Reception

GD Wright presents “Impossible Until It’s Done,” his first solo show of site specific installation in Austin. Composed of metal structures, concrete castings, and blown glass with mirrored surfaces, Wright’s work evokes a visceral response in the viewer. He examines several key aspects of tension within systems of nature and society: push and pull, containment and expansion, strength and fragility, change and inertia. The objects, with their delicate provenance, define a dichotomous personal narrative for the artist.
