Get Your Rear in Gear 5k Run/Walk

To kick off Colon Cancer Awareness Month, Austin Gastroenterology & the Colon Cancer Coalition will host the 12th annual Get your Rear in Gear 5K Run/Walk. An estimated 1,000 participants are expected to attend this year’s event with proceeds going to the People’s Community Clinic ‘FIT’ program, which helps fund and screen low-income Central Texans at high risk for colon cancer. Austin activities will begin at 9am with guest speakers, followed by the Kids’ Fun Run for children 12 and under. The 5K Run and Walk will follow at 9:15 am.
