Hyde Park Historic Homes Tour

This year’s Hyde Park Historic Homes Tour will take place on Sunday, November 13 from 11-5 pm. Volunteers are sought to act as docents for Naranjal House, the iconic concrete structure across from Shipe Pool designed and built by the late architect and former UT professor Eugene George.  Docents commit to a 2-hour shift, welcoming guests and sharing a bit about the architecture, background and features of the home.  A docent training will take place at the property on Oct. 29th at 11am and provide you with talking points.  In exchange for your time as a volunteer, you will receive a ticket to the tour (valued at $25) and an invitation to the after-party.
