Interfaith Action of Central Texas’ Courage to Hope

Austin nonprofit Interfaith Action of Central Texas (iACT) will host a celebration of community virtually via Zoom on May 12. “Courage to Hope” will feature an intimate conversation on The Courage to Hope and Support Others between Cookie Ruiz and Nora Linares Moeller, Executive Director of Housing Works, as well as words from Executive Director Simone Talma Flowers. The online fundraiser will conclude with a performance by renowned country musician Jimmie Dale Gilmore.

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, iACT has been working to keep some of the most vulnerable and most impacted people in central Texas afloat, providing basic human needs and connections and continuing to promote diversity, inclusion and kindness. Funds raised during “Courage to Hope” support iACT directly and allows the nonprofit to continue to sustain and meet the needs of the people they serve during this pandemic of disruption and loss.
