“Let’s Get Cooking” With Urban Roots

Urban Roots is welcoming its second installment of the “Let’s Get Cooking” video series and virtual fundraiser this November. The multi-week video releases will be led by Urban Roots youth joined by celebrated local restaurant partners. Event attendees will purchase exclusive event meal kits and create dishes prepared by chefs Tiffany Derry of Roots Chicken Shak (November 11), Alma Alcocer of El Alma (November 18), and Todd Duplechan and Jessica Maher of Lenoir and Vixen’s Wedding (November 25). The meal kits will include produce from its East Austin farm, plus specialty selections from local businesses and a featured recipe from the partnering restaurants. On respective dates, the pre-recorded videos will be released on Instagram TV and Urban Roots’ website and the coordinating meal kits will be available for pick up at the farm or free home delivery, courtesy of the Official Delivery Partner: Milk Run.
