Very ‘Rary: An Afternoon Of Art And Amazement

Join The Contemporary Austin for a magical afternoon filled with artmaking and adventures with local artists and entertainers. The first ever Very ‘Rary will take over the lawns, woods, and shoreline of The Contemporary Austin – Laguna Gloria with experiences that play on illusion, inspired by the park’s many sculptures that seem to masquerade throughout the grounds.

During the event, guests can experiment with movie makeup and make creepy plaster hands, embark on a Sculpture Scavenger Hunt, enjoy live music performances, food stands and more. Proceeds from the family-friendly fundraiser will go towards contemporary art experiences for local K-12 students.
