Desert Door is unveiling its latest explorer series, Armadura, made in collaboration with Nine Banded Whiskey. Aged for nine months in Nine Banded’s bourbon barrels, this limited-edition sotol brings bold, bourbon-kissed flavors to the glass. To celebrate, Desert Door Distillery is hosting a day full of fun on Saturday, November 9 from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. The day will feature armadillo races, limited-edition cocktails, specialty “Dillo Dogs” from onsite eatery Lo Salvaje and musical entertainment from Megan Tubb.
Attendance is free, but guests can purchase $2 race tickets and armadillo race for a good cause, with all proceeds supporting conservation nonprofit, Wild Spirit Wild Places. For an extra $25, guests can also enjoy an exclusive tasting with the founders of Desert Door and Nine Banded Whiskey.
