Dimmitt Contemporary Art Austin will host an opening reception for “NO TURNING BACK,” a solo exhibition by artist Monique Rollins, on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the artist during the event.
The exhibition explores the emotional and intellectual dimensions of caregiving and motherhood, intertwining themes of femininity, identity, and resilience. Through collaged textiles, gestural brushwork, and saturated color fields, Rollins captures the coexistence of tenderness and intensity, reflecting the layered complexities of nurturing and being nurtured.
