Affordable Art Fair Austin Wowed Collectors with Exclusive Private View Event
Art lovers gathered at the Palmer Events Center for a chic evening of cocktails, artist meet-and-greets, and first access to contemporary works from 55 global galleries

Art lovers and collectors gathered in style for the Private View of Affordable Art Fair Austin on Thursday, May 15. Held at the Palmer Events Center, the evening offered an exclusive first look at original, contemporary works from 55 local, national and international galleries.
Guests sipped cocktails, mingled with artists, and explored a vibrant array of paintings, photography and sculpture — all priced to make collecting accessible.
The energy at the Affordable Art Fair Private View was palpable as attendees eagerly snapped up pieces, with red “sold” dots appearing on walls throughout the night. From seasoned collectors to first-time buyers, the crowd was clearly ready to take art home.
The Affordable Art Fair’s signature blend of creativity, community spirit, and approachable price points made for a dynamic evening of discovery — and plenty of happy new art owners.
The four-day event ran from May 15–18 with international and local pieces priced between $100 and $10,000 for novices and collectors alike.
“There’s something for everyone, starting with kids and going all the way up to seasoned collectors or interior designers,” said Cori Teague, fair director. “Part of our ethos is making art accessible to everybody and removing that higher-end stuffy stigma from art fairs. It’s a very different experience. It’s somewhere where people can learn to fall in love with art, where they can purchase art for the first time and where someone can grow their collections.”
