Austin Blues Fest Returns With Jimmie Vaughan, Parliment Funkadelic With George Clinton & More
Started by Clifford Antone in 1999, the celebration will honor Austin's blues legacy on Apr. 25 & 26 at Moody Amphitheater
Austin Blues Fest returns to Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park April 25 and 26, electrifying the stage with a mix of national legends, locals, and new talent. With an incredible lineup, the fest promises ticket holders a fabulous weekend of music in the park.
Co-presented by Antone’s Nightclub along with Waterloo Greenway Conservancy, the two-day festival features performances from Jimmie Vaughan & Friends, Parliament Funkadelic featuring George Clinton, BADBADNOTGOOD, Eric Johnson, Larkin Poe, Adrian Quesada’s Boleros Psicodélicos, Chaparelle, the Huston-Tillotson Jazz Orchestra, and much more.
Austin Blues Festival originated in 1999 when Clifford Antone hosted the first Antone’s Blues Festival to spotlight his favorite artists. Susan Antone, sister of founder Clifford Antone, shared this with TRIBEZA a few years ago: “By bringing blues back to the park, we’re paying homage to the original festivals my brother hosted here in the early 2000s, and providing an opportunity for the next generation of blues lovers to experience world-class music at an incredible outdoor venue.”
Austin Blues Festival will release its single-day tickets on Friday, January 23 at 10 a.m. CT at www.austinbluesfestival.com
