One thing we’ve all learned these past few months is that love is essential – and can’t be shut down.

“Despite the current state of the world, proposals and special occasions are still occurring,” Lou Verde, General Manager of Diamonds Direct Austin, says. “Love is not cancelled.”

And though there are many ways to show love, giving jewelry can create a rare and special moment that demonstrates how much a person is truly cherished. To help those who want to celebrate love in this way, Diamonds Direct is taking unprecedented measures to welcome customers into their Austin showroom during the uncertainty of the pandemic in Central Texas.

“First and foremost, our team is focused on ensuring our shopping environment is clean and safe,” Verde says. “We are truly thrilled to invite customers into our sanitized showrooms and to help make their dreams come true.”

From July 23 until August 2, almost all of the merchandise at the Domain location is 20 percent off. This includes an extended selection of brand-new pieces flown in from some of the most in-demand designers, like Simon G, A. JAFFE and Verragio, as well as their existing collection of diamond and gemstone bracelets, earrings, pendants, bands and more.

“Now, more than ever, we have learned how important it is to hold your loved ones close and celebrate all of life’s little moments,” Verde says. “Show your love with a gift that will last a lifetime.”

This summer is a great time to shop for jewelry, thanks to the styles Diamonds Direct buyers have spotted and brought to their showroom. “We will walk alongside you, every step of the way, to ensure your jewelry needs are tended to, at the best price possible,” Verde adds. If you’re not sure where to start, consider these three trends:

Stacking Bands

Who says you need to stop with a wedding band? Stack away. Whether you prefer to match a look she already loves or to mix metals or even colored gemstones, stacking bands is an incredible way to commemorate a number of special occasions.

“Stacking bands is a trend that is not going away anytime soon. New baby? Anniversary? Giving the gift of a band is a meaningful way to commemorate milestones in your life,” Verde says. “And they’re a beautiful, dainty piece that can be passed down for generations to come.”

Colored Stone Engagement Rings

Thanks to the influence of style stars like Kate Middleton, the trend of colored stone engagement rings isn’t going anywhere. The Diamonds Direct staff will assist in creating the perfect ring with any number of stunning gems to symbolize the way you feel about the one you love.

Summer Birthstone Jewelry

Diamonds Direct has deep red rubies for July birthdays and shimmering green peridot for those born in August. These stones can be set on pendants, rings, bracelets, earrings and more pieces to make a summer birthday unforgettable.

The staff at Diamonds Direct considers the safety of their customers of the utmost importance – and they’re taking extra precautions so everyone will feel safe at their showroom. Sanitization stations, mandatory regular cleanings in addition to strict abidance to the occupancy standards are all in place.

It’s recommended that customers call ahead to make an appointment to shop. Extended hours for the summer showcase have also been set. Monday through Thursday, the Diamonds Direct showroom is open from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, they’re seeing customers from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. On Sundays, the showroom is open from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. Walk-in visits are welcome, but due to precautions and state and local ordinances, showroom space may be limited.

If you’re not ready to venture into the showroom, take advantage of just-released technology that can bring the showroom to you. Visit diamondsdirect.com/virtual to set up an online appointment.
