Rally to #StopAsianHate

On April 17, over 1,000 Texans joined grassroots activists (Lily Trieu, Pooja Sethi, Saatvik Ahluwalia, Sabrina Sha, Rio Renaud, Quynhanh Tran and Ashley Cheng), in partnership with Austin’s chapter of Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs, for a rally responding to the recent surge in violence against the AAPI community. Hosted at Huston-Tillotson University, the event featured a lineup of special guests and speakers who celebrated the community’s richness in diversity and civic empowerment. The city of Austin also submitted a proclamation naming April 17 “Stop Asian Hate Day.”
