Best Holiday Bakery Sweets in Town

by Hannah Zieschang

Forget the fruitcake, these holiday sweets are sure to be a hit from the oldest to the youngest celebrant at your holiday party. We asked a few of our favorite spots in town for their crowd holiday-favorites and can’t wait to pass these around our table come December 24.

La Patisserie

Crowd favorites are the Macarons (of course!!) and the Peppermint bark- La Patisserie’s is truly divine, fresh, made with amazing ingredients.

Texas French Bread

We love their holiday cookie tins, which include an assortment of handmade and hand-decorated artisanal cookies – great for gifts or parties. These are made seasonally each year and they can barely keep them on their shelves.

Upper Crust Bakery

Upper Crust favorites include the Buche de Noel, a traditional French Christmas dessert shaped like a yule log and the Cranberry Apple Pie, a delicious combination of apples, cranberries, currants and spices with beautiful autumn leaves for the top crust. This pie tastes as good as it looks.

Cumberbatch Sweet Tater Torte

With the dreamy combination of sweet potato souffle and a buttery sweet crust, it wouldn’t be the holidays without the Cumberbatch Sweet Tater Torte. The torte was recently re-launched and is being exclusively sold at Austin’s favorite cupcake bakery, Hey Cupcake!
