7th Annual Abbey Lights Up COTA Gala Rallies Support for Central Texas’ First Pediatric Hospice
Abigail E. Keller Foundation’s signature gala draws supporters to COTA, funding hospice efforts for children with life-limiting illnesses

The Abigail E. Keller Foundation hosted its 7th annual Abbey Lights Up COTA Gala on Aug. 16, drawing supporters to Circuit of The Americas for a heartfelt evening dedicated to children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
The event, the foundation’s most significant fundraiser of the year, featured an evening of culinary delights, craft cocktails, and live music from Grammy-winning country artist Rick Trevino and teen singer Presley Grace. Chet Garner, host of PBS’s “The Daytripper,” served as emcee.
Proceeds from the gala directly support the foundation’s mission: providing essential resources to families navigating complex pediatric diagnoses and prolonged hospital stays. Funds raised will also support the development of Central Texas’s first pediatric respite and hospice facility.
Support when families need it most
A highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the second-ever Butterfly Grant recipient. The grant, designed to ease the emotional and financial strain on families caring for medically fragile children, continues to serve as a beacon of hope for those in crisis.
Since its founding in 2019, the Abigail E. Keller Foundation has raised over $1.1 million. More than $500,000 has already been allocated directly to programs that impact over 200 families in Central Texas, providing a range of services from bedside support to emergency assistance.
Named in memory of Abigail Keller, the foundation honors her legacy by working to ensure that no family has to navigate the challenges of pediatric palliative care alone.
