Social Hour: The Art of Kindness Community Day Celebrated Art, Music & Mindfulness
Proceeds of The Kindness Campaign's family-friendly event support four core pillars: self-image, emotional awareness, empathy, and community
On Sunday, April 14, The Kindness Campaign® (TKC) hosted The Art of Kindness Community Day, a family-friendly festival featuring art, mindfulness, music, and more, including live performances from THEBROSFRESH and ZACH Theatre;. Guests enjoyed face painting, immersive experiences with GiveJoy Foundation, and a meet-and-greet with Enoughie Buddy®, TKC’s furry mascot.
The afternoon also included a dance party with Monica ATX, yoga with ATX Yoga Girl, a petting zoo from Tiny Tails to You, a hair-braiding/face gems station by Collective ATX. Kids enjoyed balloon-art & face-painting with Jasper & Castello along with a roaming magician and LEGO build stations. UT Football Athletes were also creating smiles by signing footballs and taking photos with the crowd.
Art of Kindness, TKC’s signature fundraiser, supports TKC’s ongoing work and provides an engaging space to realize the impact of emotional health on our society. Suicide is currently the second leading cause of death for teenagers in the United States, which is why TKC takes a preventative approach to saving lives, starting at age 3 and lasting into adulthood. All TKC curriculum and programming is based on a core message – I AM ENOUGH – and driven by four core pillars: self-image, emotional awareness, empathy, and community.
Proceeds from The Art of Kindness directly enable the organization to continue mission-driven work, both in Texas and nationally. The Kindness Campaign® is committed to creating & delivering accessible emotional health curriculum & programs, reaching individuals of all ages in both home & classroom settings.
