TRIBEZA Celebrates the Season with Chaparelle at the Austin Proper Hotel
An intimate holiday gathering in The Quill Room featured festive toasts, community cheer and a special live set from Zella Day and Jesse Woods
On Dec. 16, The Quill Room at the Austin Proper Hotel set the scene for a festive holiday celebration hosted by TRIBEZA. Friends of the magazine, longtime collaborators, and members of Austin’s creative community gathered for an evening that perfectly captured the warm spirit of the season.
Guests were welcomed into the stylish, intimate setting of the Austin Proper’s second-floor lounge, The Quill Room. The space’s refined atmosphere, featuring beautiful decor designed by Kelly Wearstler, provided the perfect backdrop for mingling with friends and colleagues. Known for hosting intimate music sets, The Quill Room regularly showcases musicians and DJs through a rotating calendar of events, with highlights including an upcoming New Year’s Eve celebration.
The highlight of the night came with a special live performance by Zella Day and Jesse Woods, the duo behind Chaparelle, who are featured in the November/December People Issue of TRIBEZA. Their performance brought a magical energy to the room. The band has such a magnetic presence, drawing guests in and elevating the celebration into a truly special moment.
The holiday party was a fitting way for TRIBEZA Magazine to close out the year, offering gratitude, good cheer, and a shared celebration of community — setting the tone for an exciting year ahead.
