These Austin hotels just earned spots on Travel + Leisure’s 2025 World’s Best Awards list. The annual awards, based on more than 180,000 reader responses and 657,000 votes, highlight the best hotels, resorts, cities, spas and more around the globe. Readers ranked properties on rooms, location, service, food and overall value. Austin’s top stays stood out for delivering comfort and style without losing their sense of place.
Austin’s top hotels
Coming in at No. 1 among Austin hotels was the Commodore Perry Estate, Auberge Resorts Collection, with a score of 94.40. The historic 10-acre estate, tucked away just north of downtown, continues to impress visitors with its lush grounds, quiet elegance and timeless feel.
The Austin Proper Hotel & Residences followed at No. 2 (92.13), with readers calling out its locally inspired menus and modern design.
The Four Seasons Hotel Austin landed at No. 3 (91.17), praised for its lakeside setting and reliable luxury.
Fairmont Austin (90.15) earned a spot in the top five, known for its downtown location and resort-style amenities.
Archer Hotel Austin (88.50) stood out for its bold Texas-inspired decor, including a massive Lone Star in the pool.

Best resort in Austin
Austin’s Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa also earned statewide recognition, ranking No. 4 on T+L’s list of best resorts in Texas with a score of 88.69. The 4,000-acre retreat in the Hill Country stood out for its long list of amenities, including four golf courses, eight restaurants, and a full-service spa.
Elsewhere in Texas, Houston’s Post Oak Hotel, San Antonio’s Hotel Emma, and Fort Worth’s Bowie House made the list of best U.S. city hotels, while Lake Austin Spa Resort was ranked on the country’s best spas list.
