The Austin Spurs will host local player tryouts on Saturday, Sept. 13 at Premier Athletic Complex in Leander. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., with drills and scrimmages running from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Led by Austin’s coaching staff and observed by members of the Spurs basketball operations team, the tryouts will assess participants’ skills, conditioning, and readiness for professional play. Up to three players from the session may be invited to the team’s training camp.
Since 2013, 14 players from local tryouts have made the Austin Spurs’ opening night roster. Last year’s group included Osayi Osifo and Parker Van Dyke, with Osifo appearing in 34 games and later competing in the NBA 2K26 Summer League with the San Antonio Spurs.
Registration details and required documentation are available online. A $200 fee is due on the day of tryouts and can be paid by cash or card.
