What
After Autism Speaks’ first Texas field day in San Antonio, the sensory-friendly and inclusive event is coming to Travis County on Nov. 16. Replacing the Autism Speaks Walk, this celebration is an opportunity for the community to come together to support autism awareness and help raise $52,000 for critical autism research.
Hosted at the Circuit of the Americas at 9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd., the day promises attendees four hours of fun featuring interactive games, a resource fair, entertainment, food trucks and educational workshops that ensure every participant feels included, valued and connected in a judgment-free zone. Guests can register online.
While the field day is free to attend, participants are encouraged to fundraise $100 to earn an exclusive t-shirt. Funds raised will support autism research, advocacy and critical programs and services that help ensure access to reliable information and support. These services aim to promote equity and inclusion and provide solutions that empower children and adults on the autism spectrum as their families navigate challenges stemming from childhood through adulthood.
