The Blanton Museum of Art invites the community to celebrate spring with Blanton All Day: As I Grow, a full day of interactive programs, art experiences, and family-friendly fun on Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the museum’s downtown Austin campus.
Open to all ages, the event offers a mix of guided gallery tours, hands-on workshops, and wellness activities, including the museum’s beloved Look & Listen Storytime, sound bath meditation sessions, ikebana flower arranging, and poetry writing with Austin Typewriter Ink. Special exhibitions, curator-led talks, and a pop-up print show inspired by nature will also be featured throughout the day.
Program highlights include:
- Look & Listen Storytime at 10:30 a.m. & 11:30 a.m.
- Ikebana demonstrations from 12:30–3:30 p.m.
- Sound bath meditation at 12:00 p.m. & 12:30 p.m.
- Poetry for Self-Reflection from 2:00–8:00 p.m.
- Curator’s Choice talk at 2:00 p.m. on Triumph of Death
- Art with an Expert: Claire Howard at 4:00 p.m.
- Pop-Up Print Exhibition: Garden of Delights from 4:00–8:00 p.m.
General admission is $20 for adults, $10 for youth ages 6–17, and free for children 5 and under. Blanton Members receive free admission.
