Free Week started in 2003 at Emo’s (6th and Red River St) to sustain business during the slow winter season. Beginning as a one-venue event, it has evolved into a city-wide movement across venues from Austin to Nashville, attracting tens of thousands. The event spans 10+ live music venues, comedy clubs, parks, and event spaces, showcasing local and regional talent. Free Week 2024 is set for January 5th – 6th, 2024.
