The Health Alliance for Austin Musicians’ (HAAM) signature fundraiser, the HAAM Day Music Festival, returns on Tuesday, September 23, marking its 20th anniversary with the largest one-day, all-local music festival in the country. Powered by PNC, SXSW, and C3 Presents, the milestone event will feature more than 250 performances by over 300 musicians across 100+ venues and businesses throughout Central Texas, all free and open to the public.
This year introduces a new anchor location at the South Congress H-E-B Plus, where live music will fill the store from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. with sets by artists including Scrappy Judd Newcomb & Troy Campbell, Sir Woman, Chief Cleopatra, and Shinyribs. Additional showcases include a new Stubb’s Indoors series, an EastVillage ATX lineup, and expanded programming with city proclamations and stages in Round Rock and Lockhart. Festivalgoers can also look forward to returning favorites such as Latinpalooza at Radio/East, the Central Machine Works showcase, and a special Texas State Capitol performance by Gina Chavez.
To help attendees plan their day, HAAM is debuting an Interactive Map and Complete Guide to HAAM Day, allowing supporters to filter by location, artist, or venue and discover participating restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, and retail businesses donating proceeds to HAAM.
In 2024, HAAM Day raised more than $850,000 to provide lifesaving healthcare services for local musicians. This year, the organization hopes to surpass that figure, with a goal of delivering over $6.3 million in direct healthcare services through its extensive network of providers.
