Dimmitt Contemporary Art Austin presents “Home State,” a solo exhibition by Texas-based artist Kristin Moore, on view March 1–29. The exhibition celebrates Moore’s personal connection to Texas through paintings inspired by the iconic landmarks of Houston and Austin. From childhood memories of Houston’s highways and late-night Whataburger runs to the vibrant culture of Austin during her college years, Moore’s works blend architectural landscapes with cinematic inspiration, creating an atmospheric tribute to the places that shaped her life.
An opening reception will be held on March 1 from 6–8 p.m. at Dimmitt Contemporary Art in Austin’s Clarksville Historic District.
