Together on 11th: EASTxELEVEN Launches with Lucky Neighbors Brunch Market, Showcasing Austin’s Food, Music, Artists, Small Businesses
EASTxELEVEN’s inaugural event brings neighbors together “by community, for community”
Lucky Neighbors Brunch Market is a family-friendly indoor brunch market, bringing together Austin in a one-of-a-kind community gathering amplifying the neighborly spirit that brings this city to life.
Join them on Sunday, September 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to shop local and support BIPOC-owned small businesses, learn how to play mahjong in the lounge hosted by Mahjong Mafia (@mahjongmafiaatx) and view work by local Austin-based artists in a curated community gallery hosted by TexPopATX (@texpop.atx).
“When we first imagined EASTxELEVEN, we wanted it to feel like a true neighborhood project – something by the community and for the community,” said Ben Cachila, co-owner of East 11th Street sister restaurants Old Thousand and Electric Gravy. “Being a good neighbor means opening your doors, lifting up local talent and making space for connection.”
Located in two joyful spaces in the heart of east Austin at Old Thousand (1000 E 11th St #150, Austin, TX 78702) and Electric Gravy (1050 E 11th St #100, Austin, TX 78702), EASTxELEVEN celebrates the importance of community and welcomes all with lucky raffles, live music and a small-bites brunch menu. Co-hosted by Lucky Market Festival (@theluckymarketfestival), proceeds from the event will benefit East Austin-based nonprofit DAWA.
“East 11th has such a deep history and vibrant culture,” said Peter D’Souza, co-owner of Electric Gravy. “The Lucky Neighbors Brunch Market is our way of starting something that feels joyful, rooted, and welcoming to all.”
