What

Guests are invited to an artist workshop with Changarrito Artist Gerardo E. Silguero, where they can enjoy drinks, small bites, and a gallery tour while creating self-portraits. Gerardo E. Silguero, a first-generation Mexican-American interdisciplinary artist from Brownsville, Texas, challenges perceptions of beauty, identity, and colonialism in his work, which has been exhibited across the USA and Mexico. His art is held in collections such as the Mexic-Arte Museum and La Peña Gallery in Austin, Texas. During the workshop, participants will explore self-perception, emotions, and vulnerabilities through self-portraiture, guided by Silguero in techniques ranging from basic to expressive application.
