Preservation Austin will host their 2024 Legacy Business Month Kick-Off Party at Zilker Taproom on Thursday, October 3 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. to celebrate their 2nd Annual Legacy Business Month (LBM). Last year, the City Council officially declared October as Legacy Business Month in the City of Austin. The party will feature a limited edition LBM beer from Zilker Brewing Company, live music from KOOP Radio, and a photo booth for LBM Passport photos.
LBM Passports will guide Austinites through iconic local businesses, encouraging them to celebrate and support the institutions that define so much of Austin’s culture. This LBM features 10 local businesses that have been in operation for 20+ years, including The Continental Club, Joe’s Bakery, and Zilker Park Boat Rentals.
Community members can pick up a free passport at Whole Earth Provisions North (1014 N Lamar Blvd) and Zilker Taproom (1701 E 6th St). Throughout October, passport holders will visit participating businesses, support them with a purchase, receive a stamp in their passport, and compete for prizes. LBM will conclude with a wrap party at Scholz Garten on November 4 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
