This Saturday, every H-E-B in Central Texas will host a summer-themed party with in-store activities from 11 a.m. – 4p.m., but the new store at South Congress and Oltorf has something extra special planned. Dubbed the Tex Sun Summer Showcase, H-E-B SoCo will offer a variety of tastings and hands-on activities for the third installment of its popular SoCo Social series.
- From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., The Art Garage will host a hands-on tie-dye experience on H-E-B SoCo’s front porch. The first 150 guests will receive a complimentary white bandana to tie-dye onsite. An additional 300 pre-dyed bandanas will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- At noon, H-E-B Partners start serving free crispy pork sliders (made from a whole roasted pig). The savory bites will be available while supplies last, offering a flavorful taste of summer barbecue traditions.
- From noon to 2 p.m., Daya’s Snow Cones will be on site serving colorful shaved ice creations — perfect for a hot Texas afternoon.
- Acclaimed singer-songwriter Woody Russell will provide live music from noon to 2 p.m. on the True Texas BBQ patio.
- Tasty samples and snacks will be available throughout the store and classic cornhole games will be available in the first-floor lobby.
