The Contemporary Austin’s Second Saturdays Are for Families returns on March 8 with Texture Frenzy, a hands-on art-making experience at Laguna Gloria from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Families will explore texture through frottage, creating rubbings on rice paper and pressing patterns into clay. A guided tour will encourage participants to discover natural textures around the sculpture park, including Ai Weiwei’s Iron Tree Trunk.
This free event invites families to experiment with new materials and techniques while enjoying the beauty of Laguna Gloria.
