The Dogwood Domain will host an Oktoberfest Block Party on Saturday, October 5th, 2024. The festive celebration of German culture with a Texas twist begins at 11 am and continues throughout the day. Our Dachtoberfest races will kick the day off, starting at 1 pm with additional entertainment and events including a DJ, dog vendors and a dog costume contest!
Sign your dachshund up to participate in our Dachtoberfest races with check-in and day of registration starting at 11 am, or come just to watch the race!
Additional events/activities include:
– DJ during the races starting at 12pm
– On-site dog vendors
– Dog costume contest with prizes awarded to the 1st – 4th place winners.
Festivities will continue throughout the night with live music from multiple bands including Night Owls, Brother Thunder and Suede who will perform from 4 – 11 pm. Test your strength with our stein relay and stein hoisting competition, where the winner will take home a cash prize. Plus, enjoy food and beer vendors throughout the day!
