After 35 years at its iconic North Lamar location, Waterloo Records is relocating up the street. On Saturday, August 30, at 9 a.m., the beloved Austin record store will host a grand opening celebration at its new home: 1105 North Lamar Blvd, just five blocks north of its former location.
The all-day event will feature live music, commemorative gifts for early visitors, and giveaways as the new ownership team unveils a reimagined space designed to serve artists, fans, and the broader creative community.
Highlights of the new location include in-house lacquer cutting, a Dolby Atmos mixing studio, genuine 24-karat gold and platinum vinyl records, rentable podcast and performance spaces, and a bar serving beer, wine, and coffee.
