The Austin chapter of Women In Music (WIM) is set to make a resounding debut with the event “Breaking Boundaries: Austin Women’s Journeys in the Music Biz,” on Feb. 7 at 5:30-8:30 p.m. Hosted at Cirrus Logic SoundCheck, this pioneering panel discussion will be moderated by the esteemed music journalist Deborah Sengupta-Stith, Interim Features Editor at Austin American-Statesman/Austin360.
The panelists, comprising Austin’s music industry trailblazers, include Marcia Ball of the Marcia Ball Band, Lisa Fletcher from Arlyn Studios, Celeste Quesada, a Community Builder and Music Commissioner, and Rose Reyes, President of Giant Noise San Antonio and Co-Founder of W.I.M.P.S. This gathering promises an insightful exploration into the remarkable journeys of these influential women in the music business.
