Houston’s Family-Owned Zadok Jewelers Expands to Austin with New Luxury Store at The Domain
Zadok brings generational craftsmanship and global brands to Central Texas

Members of the Zadok family have been stewards of fine jewelry and watches for seven generations after starting off as royal court jewelers in Asia and then as artisans in Israel. In 1976, Dror and Helene Zadok brought the jewels to the United States with their first family-owned boutique in Houston.
Now, 50 years later, the family is creating a legacy for the next generation as Zadok Jewelers has landed in Austin with its first expansion outside of Houston. The high-end jeweler opened a new 11,500-square-foot store in The Domain.

A Family Legacy Seven Generations in the Making
Jonathan, the son of Helene and Dror, now leads the business with his brothers, Segev and Gilad, all GIA Graduate gemologists. The family had been eyeing Austin as a potential expansion location for years and felt that it was time to break into the local luxury market.
“The Domain is the luxury destination of Austin right now,” explains Jonathan. “The concentration of designer stores, whether it’s Gucci, Louis Vuitton or Dior, attracts high-end shoppers, but 10 years ago, this never existed in Austin. People were more willing to spend $10,000 on a bicycle before they would spend $10,000 on a watch.”
Zadok Showcases Exclusive Jewelry and Timepieces in Austin
Zadok Jewelers’ new showroom features luxury timepieces from BVLGARI and Jaeger-LeCoultre, as well as Zadok’s branded collection and fine jewelry from coveted international designers, including Roberto Coin, Pomellato, Messika, Mikimoto, Phillips House and Moritz Glik.
“We have high-end merchandise that you don’t normally see in Austin, like bigger pieces, colored diamonds, larger rubies, diamonds and sapphires,” says Jonathan.
The store also has a section dedicated to IWC Schaffhausen and Panerai’s first watch boutiques in Austin, which opened in partnership with Zadok. The IWC Schaffhausen Boutique is the Swiss watch brand’s largest in Texas, featuring a selection of luxury aviation timepieces. Panerai’s shop gives local customers the opportunity to check out the Italian brand’s extensive collection of watches, which are made in Switzerland.
“We’ve been carrying IWC and Panerai for more than 25 years in Houston,” says Jonathan. “We have boutiques for IWC and were one of the original Panerai dealers in the United States. They were actually the ones who inspired us to open in Austin.”

Creating Heirlooms and Emotional Connections
Zadok Jewelers’ motto at its flagship store in Houston is, “You’re only a stranger once,” and the same rings true for their new store in Austin. Just as Jonathan hopes this new addition to the business will be passed down to the next Zadok generation, he wants to provide customers with curated pieces to hand down to their own children.
“There are very few tangible items that can evoke a memory and connection with someone else, and we want to be the place where you can find treasures that will be inherited from grandparents, engagement rings that will live beyond one marriage, and presents that celebrate the most emotional moments,” he says.
