Founders of one of the pioneering shops situated in Austin’s downtown West 2nd Street District, Mercury Design Studio owners Steve Shuck and Bobby Johns believe in “living with the past, not in it.” This sentiment certainly resonates during a visit to the store, where lustrously lacquered, reimagined vintage pieces scattered throughout the space barely register as vintage upon first glance.
