The Siblings Behind Leatherology Arrive in Austin with Their Mobile Monogram Trunk

Leatherology Luncheon

Family Ties

Rank & Style founders Jamie Chandlee, Beth Zerdecki and Dalton Young recently welcomed Leatherology’s Rae and David Liu to Austin with a private luncheon at Launderette. The brother/sister co-founders gathered with designers, entrepreneurs and style-setters to celebrate the debut of Leatherology’s mobile monogram trunk. The first of a few stops –Nashville and Charleston are up next – the brand also introduced their new fall colors including Electric Blue, which was inspired by Austin’s famed springs, natural beauty and eclectic street art. The duo also debuted a limited-edition, and Austin-inspired, print that pairs with the striking blue.

Leatherology’s new Electric Blue line is inspired by Austin’s natural beauty and eclectic street art.

Throughout the event, guests were invited to customize a Leatherology accessory featuring the print, while experiencing the brand’s new mobile monogramming trunk. Leatherology, which is known for its high-quality bags and accessories, and detailed personalization, is a Dallas-based direct-to-consumer business. Each of their designs are personalized the old-school way – from hand-pressed monograms using heated brass dies, to hand-painted lettering.

Everyone at the delicious and festive luncheon was quickly charmed by David and Rae’s warmth, grace and obvious attention to creating beautiful and quality designs.

Launderette played host to the festive luncheon and served a delicious and refreshing array of crab toasts, roasted carrots, beet hummus, sea bass and more!
