Downtown Austin gains a new nightlife destination as Nica on 4th opens its doors. Conceived by hospitality veterans Kris Kimura and Aaron Frescas — the team behind Elephant Room and Parker Jazz Club — the 100-seat cocktail lounge transports guests straight into the glamour and mystique of 1920s jazz.

“Being in this scene for decades and watching different types of bars and venues come and go, Kris and I wanted to build something that we felt Austin was lacking,” Frescas said.

Named for Baroness Pannonica de Koenigswarter, the legendary “Baroness of Jazz,” Nica on 4th is offers a carefully curated experience. The soft glow of Edison lights combine to create an intimate space. Live jazz performances set the tone for an evening of conversation, discovery and entertainment.
