New Sophisticated South Austin Cocktail Bar, Daisy Lounge, Serves Elevated Drinks and Bites
South Austin's new chic destination offers a cozy atmosphere and an innovative bar program
Introducing Daisy Lounge, South Austin’s newest cocktail destination nestled within Keepers, a beloved neighborhood Seafood spot at 5701 W Slaughter Lane. Crafted by the renowned Silk Road Hospitality group, led by Chef Amir Hajimaleki, Daisy Lounge fills a void in South Austin’s nightlife, offering a chic Austin-style cocktail bar experience right in the heart of the community.
Formerly an underutilized foyer space within Keepers and Oasthouse’s South location, Daisy Lounge now exudes sophistication across its three-story layout, seating approximately 38 guests. Designed by Chef Amir and his brother Ali, the ambiance is inspired by their grandmother’s fondness for daisies, reflected in the rich, dark green hues, stylish furnishings, floral wallpaper, and elegant gold accents.
Culinary and Cocktail Delights at Daisy Lounge
The drink program is led by Patrick Nikel, a respected figure in Austin’s bar scene. Nikel has curated a menu of both classic favorites and innovative concoctions. Indulge in signature drinks like the Daisy, featuring coconut washed gunpowder gin, or the Oaxacan Soda, blending vida mezcal with refreshing cucumber and tarragon soda. For those preferring alternatives, a selection of beers, wines, and non-alcoholic cocktails is also available.
Complementing these liquid refreshments, the menu offers an array of small bites with Persian influences. This includes Zeytoon Parvardeh (a Persian olive appetizer that originates from the Gilan province north of Iran) and marinated Castelvetrano olives with walnuts, pomegranate and herb, or choose mixed nuts seasoned with Tavazo, saffron and lemon.
Silk Road’s pastry chef Dennis Van, known for his Sugar Rush victory on Netflix, presents a rotating selection of delectable deserts. Try the rich Strawberry Leche Tart, made with strawberry lychee curd, yuzu pastry cream, and a coconut milk mousse. Other food “experiences” like caviar pairings are in the works and will be launching in the coming weeks.
Daisy Lounge will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight. To make a reservation, visit Tock. You can also rent out the space for private events. To learn more, visit their website or follow along on Instagram.
