Pins Mechanical Co. Brings a New Entertainment Hotspot to Austin’s St. Elmo District

Just in time for summer hangouts, Pins Mechanical Co. has landed in the St. Elmo District—bringing even more excitement to one of Austin’s most dynamic areas. Originally founded in Columbus, Ohio and operated by Rise Brands, Pins now boasts nine locations nationwide. Its first Austin outpost officially opened on April 17. Round up your crew and check out this massive 43,000-square-foot “eatertainment” venue—set to become one of the city’s favorite summer destinations.

Dogs and Kids Welcome

The perfect spot to kickback and relax, Pins Mechanical Co.’s vibrant atmosphere offers games, drinks and fun – offering three bars serving craft cocktails, a curated selection of local and regional draft beers, and a variety of alcohol alternatives, including low- and no-proof options, as well as THC-infused seltzers. Plus, it’s kid-friendly until 9 p.m., as well as dog-friendly inside and outside. Kids can even enjoy free bowling on Sundays. Note that after 9 p.m., the venue is for ages 21+. 

Duckpin Bowling and More

There’s something so nostalgic about duckpin bowling and classic arcade games. Combining classic entertainment with a modern social scene, guests enjoy a fun and nostalgic escape from the ordinary. With 20 duckpin bowling lanes, more than 29 pinball machines, over 25 classic arcade games, interactive foosball, ping-pong and oversized yard games – including Giant Lite Brite, Jenga, Patio Pong and Connect Four – it’s easy to enjoy an afternoon or evening of retro charm mixed with community. 

Unfamiliar with duckpin bowling? This includes smaller balls and stubby pins, with the aim of the game to knock down as many as you can in three tries per frame. According to Pins Mechanical Co., the game is fast, fun and totally addictive.

Starting May 19, the venue will host groups of all shapes and sizes for corporate events, birthdays or just for fun. They will have a variety of space options and can customize event packages based on your needs. They can even host kids events for groups of kids up to 20.
