Tacodeli Adds Cocktails, New Dinner Menu
The restaurant will serve alcoholic drinks and flavorful new dishes at all locations
Since opening its first Austin location in 1999, Tacodeli has become a hotspot for delicious, hand-crafted tacos. Now, the local favorite is mixing up their menu — and including cocktails at all locations across Texas for the first time ever.
Beginning August 23, the Austin-based restaurant chain will offer diners eight new drinks on their menu, including margaritas (frozen or on the rocks, of course), a paloma, local beers and Epic Western canned cocktails. According to a press release on the new menu additions, all cocktails are made with fresh juices, which make the various “Swirls” (combinations of frozen margaritas and homemade aguas frescas) sound particularly enticing.
Along with the new alcoholic drinks to try, Tacodeli fans can savor five new dinner items that have also been added to the menu. The new flavorful dishes are the Pastor Yucatan (pork served on top of a banana leaf), Mole de Pollo (chicken in a rich mole sauce), Escalopas Especial (seared scallops with cashews, spinach and cauliflower), Arrachera Flank Steak (seasoned with mojo garlic) and Esquites Mexican Street Corn (which comes with red onion, queso fresco cilantro and bacon).
“As we grow as a restaurant company, we continue to focus on providing our guests the best quality sourcing and preparations,” said Tacodeli Co-Founder Robert Espinosa, who came up with the new dishes and cocktails for the restaurant. “We are thrilled to introduce vibrant new alcohol and dinner menus that we hope our guests find as exciting as we do!”
If you’re ready to try all the new flavors at Tacodeli, you can do it during expanded hours as well. The restaurant first added dinner hours in 2020 during the pandemic. Starting this month, new hours will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m., with dinner service starting at 4 p.m.
