The Alamo Drafthouse Hosts Star Wars-Themed Weddings – See the Pics!

Star Wars Wedding

The ceremonies took place on opening night of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

May the force be with your marriage! Always.

Two couples tied the knot Thursday in a galaxy not so far away. In fact, the double Star Wars-themed ceremonies took place in Austin at The Alamo Drafthouse on South Lamar before opening-night screenings of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

The cutest Baby Yoda was in attendance.

The couples, Andy and Wendee Forbes and Matt and Mallory Anderegg, are big fans of the Star Wars film franchise — no surprise there — and have made it a tradition to see the films on opening nights at Alamo throughout the years.

Wendee and Andy both wore white. She dressed as Princess Leia and he wore a stormtrooper uniform to walk down the aisle and say “I do.”

Matt and Mallory paid tribute to iconic duo Leia and Han Solo with their wedding attire — Matt dressed as the captain of the Millennium Falcon — as well as with their rings, which are inscribed with the quotes “I love you,” and “I know,” from the original Star Wars trilogy film, The Empire Strikes Back.

The weddings took place in the lobby of the theater, complete with costumed flower girls, a procession of storm troopers, balloons, confetti and an adorable Baby Yoda. No word on whether anyone threw rice at the couples (popcorn maybe?) but as they walked away, knot officially tied, plenty of lightsabers were waving.

Mallory and Matt walk down the aisle with a saber salute.

Congrats to happy newlyweds. Hopefully, they’ve planned honeymoons on lovely planets like the Ewoks’ forest moon of Endor.
