Eateries across Austin have been eagerly preparing a wave of pink- and red-clad confections perfect for gifting friends, crushes or keeping all for yourself. From traditional chocolates to trendy hot cocoa bombs, this exceptional list of sugary treats will have you falling in love.

Eberly x Prohibition Creamery Ice Cream Flight ($16) 

Despite its recent closure at the beginning of the year, boozy East Austin ice cream shop Prohibition Creamy is giving fans one more chance to try their unique creations – just in time for holiday celebrations. The team at Eberly is opening their kitchen to Chef Laura Aidan for a delicious collaboration featuring an ice cream flight made with inventive flavors like Prickly Pear Mezcal sorbet. Pints will also be available to-go throughout the pop-up, taking place from February 9th – 13th. 

Fluff Meringues’ Valentine’s Day Tea Service ($99)

Upgrade your Valentine’s Day schedule from breakfast in bed to afternoon tea with this sophisticated set from Kristin Collins of Fluff Meringues. Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop Conversation Heart Cookies ($6) 

Variety is the spice of life at Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop. Along with a limited edition selection of cupcakes, pink hot cocoa bombs, an incredible looking “Death By Chocolate Cake” and more, this South 1st Street bakery is transforming its Texas-sized sugar cookies into classic conversation hearts. FoliePop’s French Kiss Cakes ($25)

Leave it to Hill Country Galleria’s FoliePop’s to bring an added touch of flair to the holiday dessert game this year. This realistic set of cakes is made from silky vanilla mousse and filled with a bright pop of strawberry jelly. Looking for a more traditional route? The French pastry and coffee house is also offering heart-shaped boxes containing 12 signature chocolate hazelnut and strawberry tartelettes, available for online ordering.

Uchiko’s Valentine’s Day Sweet Box ($70)

Uchi Executive Pastry Chef, Ariana Quant, has crafted an elevated tasting experience that turns dessert into the main event. Some of the delightfully surprising flavors you’ll find inside include Passion Fruit Marshmallows, Strawberry Guava Pâte de Fruit and Blueberry Dragées (or Jordan almonds) with white chocolate and hibiscus. Cookie Rich Limited-Time Flavor ($50/dozen)

Austin’s newest cookie company is celebrating the season of sweets with a brand new flavor: dark chocolate-dipped strawberry cheesecake, dusted in edible gold and layered with a whipped cream cheese filling and strawberry jam. These miniatures are now open for pre-order by scheduling local pickup or delivery from February 10th – 14th. Luckily if you can’t pick just one flavor, variety boxes are still available as well. 

Crema Bakery’s Chocolate-Covered Strawberries ($12-$24)

While South Austin’s Crema is offering an assortment of tempting scratch-made desserts for the holiday, you can never go wrong with tried-and-true chocolate-covered strawberries. This romantic set is dipped in varieties of Callebaut Belgian chocolate, with a premium option featuring added details like Oreo crumbs and edible glitter. Orders must be placed by February 7th for pick up between February 11th – 14th. Bakery Lorraine Boxes ($24+)

With a location at the Domain NORTHSIDE, this boutique bakery has teamed up with San Antonio-based florist The Vintage Bouquet for a series of Valentine’s Day gift boxes, including beautifully assembled medleys of macaroons and flowers. For an extra festive touch, you can also add a half bottle of Champagne to any order, which must be placed by noon on February 10th. Only available for in-person pick up.
