NOURISH Line-Up Revealed: Get Tickets for Tribeza’s Curated Wellness Retreat
The ultimate day of inspiring rejuvenation will bring strengthening yoga, meditation, cooking demonstrations, skincare activations and more
Between the quickly-rising temperatures (gotta love spring in Texas!), the approach of Wedding Season, the pressure to start making summer plans and the imminent arrival of Tax Day, mid April can be an especially stressful time for many of us. The Tribeza team knows this very well, which is why we thought that April 16 would be the perfect time to host an event focused on relaxation, mindfulness and self-care, featuring classes and activations from Austin’s leading wellness experts. We’re so excited to welcome you to NOURISH, happening at Hummingbird House in Menchaca, TX.
Start the day with fresh juice, coffee and healthy eats
NOURISH will begin at 10am with an opportunity to settle in and fuel up with some nourishing bites and invigorating drinks. PeoplesRx, a hugely-beloved pharmacy and eatery with 4 Austin locations, will provide NOURISH attendees with cold-pressed organic juices and an assortment of breakfast items all designed to energize you for the day’s experiences. PeoplesRx prides itself on producing food with no hormones, nitrates, antibiotics, or high-fructose corn syrup, so NOURISH attendees will have the assurance that what they’re eating is all-natural and additive-free.
If you (like many of us at Tribeza) need a cup of coffee in order to be remotely productive, we’ve got you covered on that front too. Coffee will be available to all NOURISH guests, and we’ve partnered with Fronks Nut Milk to offer artisanal dairy-free milk made with almonds, cashews and dates to add to your java.
A licensed Austin psychologist will help us set our intentions for the day
Tribeza is thrilled to have Dr. Nahal Delpassand, an Austin psychologist whose approach focuses on goal-setting, emotional healing and empowerment, as our introductory speaker for NOURISH. In addition to treating individual patients, Dr. Delpassand also operates a consulting business for corporate organizations and larger groups, so she’s well-equipped to help all of the attendees center their minds before embarking on their NOURISH journey.
Pull up a mat for an hour of vinyasa yoga with Callie Ogden Millbrandt
Yoga can do wonders for limbering your body and sharpening your focus, and NOURISH will proudly host acclaimed instructor Callie Ogden Millbrandt of Bloom by Callie, who will lead us through a powerful vinyasa flow class (which can be enjoyed by practitioners of all levels) with background music provided by Austin DJ Sydney Wright. You’re welcome to bring your own mat, and mats will also be provided.
Learn about “seasonal eating” from a professional chef and a nutritionist
As any urban gardner or farmer’s-market regular can tell you, purchasing local produce during its peak season is the best possible way to incorporate healthy and flavorful fruits and veggies into your diet. To help grow your knowledge of “seasonal eating” and how to make it work for you, we’ve invited Chef Carlos of Farmhouse Delivery (an Austin-based meal delivery service that emphasizes Texas-grown produce and pasture-raised meats) to do a cooking demo and engage attendees in a conversation (with input from both Dr. Delpassand and from Sally Bowman, a registered dietician and nutrition educator) about the best ways to identify and work with seasonal ingredients. This workshop will be followed by a vegan lunch provided by Farmhouse Delivery.
Choose your own adventure!
After lunch, NOURISH will give you the opportunity to select an hour-long workshop that best suits your own interests and needs. You can explore the world of botanical healing with herbalist Lauren Peterson of Hill Country Herb Garden; you can participate in wellness discussions with Dr. Delpassand, Sally Bowman and lifestyle counselor Dr. Brooke Stubbs of Rooted Femme; or you can engage in an immersive meditation practice with sound bowls led by the team behind Creekhaven Inn & Spa in Wimberley, TX.
Not your standard happy hour
To close out the event, NOURISH will host a 90-minute happy hour in Hummingbird House’s scenic garden. Libations will be provided by BOXT, which serves additive-free Napa Valley wines packaged in eco-conscious refillable packages. To accompany the wine, Creekhaven Inn will offer sweet and savory scones. As you’re sipping and noshing, feel free to check out the pop-up tents located throughout the space, where you can get everything from a mini-facial and massage from Creekhaven Spa to a braided hairstyle from Urban Betty to cryotherapy from Restore Hyper Wellness to a skin consultation and mini-Botox from Saving Face to “permanent” (i.e. fitted and welded) bracelets from Love Weld to a spinal wellness check from Dr. Mike Isseks of Mōtus Chiropractic.
When NOURISH comes to an end, we’ll send you off with a swag bag and with the benefits of a day of restorative fun.
