Austin City Limits Weekend Two: Add Jenny Lewis, Yola and More to Your Schedule

Here’s who we’re excited to see this weekend at ACL

Austin City Limits Festival

There’s an impressive lineup of shows to see this year at the 2019 Austin City Limits Music Festival. Weekend One is on the books with acts like Album of the Year Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves and hip-hop/pop crossover Lizzo drawing massive crowds. You still have a chance to see those two this weekend and take your pick of headliners like Guns N’ Roses, The Cure, Childish Gambino, and Mumford & Sons performing on the main stages Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Here are some early shows worth checking out at Zilker Park Oct. 11 – 13 for the final weekend of the festival:

The Comet is Coming
This hypnotic sax, keyboard & drum trio plays spacey synth grooves with energetic sax solos and a forever-driving backbeat that will make you want to break dance.

Jenny Lewis
Check out her wonderfully written pop songs that are reminiscent of the 1970s. Her vintage West Coast sound has been perfected over the years. It also helps that she has a voice of pure gold and has surrounded herself with some of the industry’s finest.

Saturday

Abhi the Nomad
This Austin-based hip hop artist with a sharp tongue has thoughtful and provocative lyrics that hit you at a rapid pace, paired with catchy hooks and head-bobbing beats. Abhi is marked as one of the next breakout artist from our own city limits.

Pink Sweat$
Enjoy easy-going R&B with a captivating backing band. Don’t let his charming presence on stage fool you, this guy has a big voice. Escape the heat, take shelter in the Tito Handmade Vodka tent and let Mr. Sweat$ do the rest.

Sunday

Yola
Go see the queen of country soul. A new Dolly Parton type of country star has emerged from an unexpected place, all the way from the U.K. Yola won over crowds during SXSW and the Newport Folk Fest and I imagine she’ll do the same here in Austin.

Koffee
This 19-year-old Jamaican is the newest star in the reggae scene. She blends her beautiful voice with a touch of hip hop and bouncing Caribbean beats. Start your Sunday off right with some Koffee and you can’t lose.
