Texas pride is very real, and that goes double for our music scene. Across genres and county lines you can easily find talented performers that are helping to define our state’s musical influence on the global stage. And then there’s Austin, bursting with unique and historic venues that have played a major role in launching careers and upholding the city’s title as the Live Music Capital of the World.

This December almost feels like a homecoming, with dozens of Texas names returning to favorite local haunts — not to mention phenomenal Austin acts that are worth adding to your bucket list. Annual holiday traditions are also back in full swing, with Christmas and New Year’s Eve shows lined up for a spectacular night of celebration.
