A Skin Care Star Makes Her Austin Debut with Carson Skin Rejuvenation

In March 2020, Jaime Carson was busy. She had a fully booked schedule — even a wait list — at Carson Skin Rejuvenation, her boutique skin care salon in New York City. But then the pandemic hit, and within 48 hours all salons were shut. Suddenly, “My schedule was empty, indefinitely,” Carson recalls.

This prompted Carson, who’d been a successful aesthetician for 15 years, to make a big change.

“My husband Michael and I had been wanting to move to Austin for three years — we love it here,” Carson explains. When Covid-19 upended her business, she thought, “If I was going to start over, maybe this was the time.”

So in November 2020, Carson, her husband Michael and their dog Yoda arrived in Austin, where they bought a home in Brentwood. Carson earned her aesthetics license from the state of Texas, and in May, after a lengthy hunt for the right space, she opened Carson Skin Rejuvenation in Rollingwood. She chose the neighborhood for its “expansive hills, trees and luxurious feel,” she says.

At Carson Skin Rejuvenation, Carson uses evidence-based technologies, Environ® skin care products and the skill that comes from extensive training and experience to create her signature treatments. And as the first — and so far the only — Austin-based aesthetician to use Oxylight®, Jaime combines light-emitting diodes (LED), oxygen and microdermabrasion therapies, as well as high frequency soundwaves (ultrasound) and microcurrents to provide comprehensive, customized therapies for youthful, clear, smooth skin.

Carson Skin Rejuvenation provides the results-oriented services offered by most medi-spas but, Carson says, “My treatments don’t require taking time off from work for healing, and they feel good.”

Clients can schedule facials and virtual skin consultations by visiting carsonskin.com or by calling the offices of Carson Skin Rejuvenation, where Carson and her assistant will be happy to answer any questions a potential new client may have.

“A lot of practices have transitioned to completely digital bookings,” Carson says. “But I pride myself on that human contact.”

Carson Skin Rejuvenation (512 675 4721, admin@carsonskin.com) is located at 1015 Beecave Woods Drive, Suite 200, in Rollingwood.
